Had a round table Crit with Sian, Abdul, Andreas, Kim and George today.
Below are feedback which I wrote in my idea/sketchbook. Mainly, to make the copy alot simple and shorter, and less complicated as people wouldn’t read all of it anyways. From the posters, they could not tell that the advertisement was about FOOD labelling and that FSA was a term which not alot of people would be able to identify.
- Make a more obvious connection with FOOD
- Readjust copy to explain the relation to FOOD
- Bring the language into a Supermarket
- Mobile traffic lights? (did some quick research on this and found out that it costs as much as £85 to rent a mobile Traffic Light for a day! A little over my budget and bringing it around to selected Supermarket areas might be tricky)
The images below are also a mix of feedback I received from Monica as well as from a tutorial with Anthony.
One of the main things I take away from the feedback would be to keep my message as simple. Anthony and I were unable to come up with some punchy which made use of the traffic light’s vocabulary and explored other options as can be seen above.
Will update the blog with more images of some sketches while I try to work out a more solid idea to approach the brief.
